Ingredients:  
Pork Chops: 6, each about 3/4" thick
Flour: 3 tbsps.
Salt: 3/4 tsp.
Garlic Salt: 1/4 tsp.
Water: 1/2 cup
Dry Sherry Wine: 1/4 cup
Parsley: 1 tbsp.
Cloves, ground: 1/8 tsp.
Pepper: dash
Bay Leaf: 1
Carrots, small: 6 (pared and halved lengthwise)
Potatoes, small: 6 (pared and halved)
Onion, medium: 1, thinly sliced.

Preheat oven @ 350º
Trim fat from Chops,
Heat fat in skillet.
When about 2 tbsps. of melted fat accumulates, remove trimmings.

In a bowl, combine Flour, Salt, Pepper, and Garlic Salt. Dip Chops into mixture.

Brown Chops in skillet w// melted fat: about minutes per side.

In a 3 quart casserole:
Combine Water, Sherry, Parsley, Ground Cloves, Pepper and Bay Leaf.
Sprinkle Carrots and Potatoes generously with salt, and place in the liquid.
Arrange Chops on top. Add Onion slices on top of chops. Cover and bake for 1 1/4 hours, or until Vegies and Meat are tender, basting once or twice.
Skim off excess fat, and remove bay leaf.
Trim with Parsley
