2 loaves frozen bread dough
1 egg white
1 tsp water
Coarse salt

Thaw dough in the refrigerator overnight. Roll each loaf into 12 balls. ( 24 in all) Roll each ball into ropes and shape into pretzels by making a knot and looping the ends through . Place the pretzels 1 inch apart on a well greased cookie sheet . Let rise for 20 minutes. Combine the egg white and water and brush on the pretzels. Sprinkle with coarse salt and bake in the oven at 350º for 20 minutes until golden brown.

* A pretzel to remind us of arms crossed in prayer is a Lenten treat for us to share!
