"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain

Directions:
Pop popcorn and pour into a large paper grocery bag. Add generous amount of peanuts. Combine brown sugar, margarine, syrup and salt in a bowl. Boil in microwave on high for 2 minutes. Stir in soda. Pour syrup over popped corn and peanuts in bag. Stir to coat corn. Microwave on high for 1 1/2 minutes, stir again. Repeat 4 times. Pour on waxed paper and cool. Break apart while cooling.

Watch (and smell) while heating popped corn and caramel mix, it can burn very easily depending on your microwave.
