6 fresh bratwurst
1 extra large sweet onion
1/4 c of unsalted butter
2 bottles of warm beer
1 pinch of marjoram
Salt and pepper to taste
Sauer kraut
Whole grain mustard
6 lightly toasted sandwich bread rolls

Directions:
Directions:
Slice onion into 1/4 inch slices. Melt butter in large saute pan. Add onions and toss thoroughly in butter. Add salt, pepper and marjoram and stir well. Cook onions until lightly caramalized...about 20 minutes. Add beer, stir well and bring to boil.

Poke each side of bratwurst 3 times with a fork. Place bratwurst in beer and onions and simmer 15 min. Turn bratwurst over and simmer 15 min. Remove bratwrust and place on a hot grill until each side is well browned (about 2 - 3 minutes each side). Place onions and beer into a bowl for garnishing.

Garnish with whole grain mustard, sauer kraut, onion and beer sauce.
