½ c. finely chopped pecan or almonds
½ c. margarine (DO NOT USE BUTTER)
1 c. sugar
¼ c. water
1 tsp. salt
1 c. semisweet chocolate chips
¼ c. finely chopped pecans or almonds

Sprinkle ½ cup pecans in a 9-inch circle on a greased baking sheet. Coat the top 2 inches of a 2 ½ quart microwave-safe clear glass bowl with some of the margarine and place the remaining margarine in the bowl. Add the sugar, water and salt to the bowl. Microwave for 1 minute or till margarine is melted; then stir just enough to distribute the margarine a little. Microwave on high for 10 to 11 minutes or just until the mixture begins to turn light brown. Pour over the pecans. Sprinkle with the chocolate chips. Let stand for 1 minute. Spread the chocolate over the pecan mixture and sprinkle with ¼ cup pecans. Chill until firm. Break into bite-size pieces.
