1/4 c butter
2 tbsp. Vegetable shortening
1 and 1/4 c powdered sugar
1/8 tsp. Salt
2 tbsp. Non alcoholic mint syrup
1 ( (8 1/2 oz. of chocolate wafer cookies)

Directions:
Directions:
In a small bowl , whip the butter and shortening together until combined. Slowly sift in powdered sugar and salt. Add the mint syrup and beat until light and fluffy. Spread the filling between two wafer cookies. Refrigerate until set. This makes about 20 cookies. Serve with honey colored apple juice to represent the meal of honey and grasshoppers that John the Baptist ate in the desert.
