1 pkg. (6 oz) Uncle Ben's Long Grain & Wild Rice
1 can (3 oz) sliced mushrooms in butter, drain (reserve broth)
1 T. butter or margarine
1 T. flour
1/4 t. salt
Pinch of pepper
3/4 c. milk
1 pkg. (3 oz) softened cream cheese
1 can (4 1/2 oz) tiny whole shrimp, rinsed and drained.
1 pkg. (10 oz) frozen cooked asparagus, drained

Directions:
Directions:
Cook rice according to package instructions. Meanwhile, make sauce by melting butter over low heat. Mix in flour, salt and pepper, when bubbly, remove from heat. Stir in mushroom broth and milk. Cook over medium heat; stir constantly, until thickened. Cook 1 minute longer. Add cream cheese, stir with wire whisk until smooth. Add half the mushrooms to the sauce. Mix shrimp and remaining mushrooms with rice. Spoon rice mixture over the asparagus arranged on platter. Top with sauce. (Can use bite size cooked chicken pieces in place of shrimp)
