4 1/2 qts of water
1 1/2 cups of regular grind coffee
1 egg, save washed shell
1/2 cup cold water

Directions:
Directions:
In large coffee pot (white enamel if you have one) bring water to boil. Combine coffee with egg, reserving shell. Stir coffee mixture and shell into boiling water. Return mixture to boil. Remove from heat and let stand 2 minutes. Slowly pour in cold water-this helps settle the coffee grounds. Strain if desired.
