1 package active dry yeast
1/4 cup warm water
1 cup cottage cheese, heated to lukewarm
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon minced onion
1 tablespoon butter
2 teaspoons dill seed
1 egg
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
2-1/4 cups sifted flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix yeast into warm water and let sit for 5 minutes. Combine in the mixing bowl of an electric mixer: cottage cheese, sugar, onion, butter, dill seed, salt, baking soda, egg and yeast mixture. Add flour and mix on low speed to form a stiff dough. Cover bowl and let rise in a warm place until double in size (about 1 hour). Punch down dough. Turn into a well-greased round pyrex dish (1-1/2 to 2 quart size). Do not cover. Let rise in a warm place for another 40 minutes. Bake at 350º for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Brush with butter and sprinkle with salt.
