2 cups sugar
3/4 cup cocoa
1-1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup boiling water
1-3/4 cup flour
1-1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 cup milk
2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat at 350º. Grease and flour cake pans. Stir together sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder and soda. Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla. Beat with mixer (medium speed) 2 minutes. Stir in boiling water (batter will be thin). 30-35 minutes.

Frosting:
1 stick butter, soft
2/3 cup cocoa
3 cups powdered sugar
1/3 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Melt butter, stir in cocoa. Alternately add powdered sugar and milk, beating to desired consistency. Add small amount additional milk, if needed. Stir in vanilla. Makes about 2 cups of frosting.
