3/4 c. butter or margarine
4 celery ribs, chopped
2 medium onions, chopped
1/4 c. minced fresh parsley (or 1 Tbsp. dried)
1 1/2 lbs. day-old bread, crusts removed and cubed (about 13 cups)
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. ground sage
1 tsp. poultry seasoning
1 tsp. dried thyme
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 apples (with skins), chopped
1 c. raisins
2 eggs
2 c. chicken broth

Directions:
Directions:
1. In a large skillet, melt the butter and sauté the celery, onions and parsley until the vegetables are tender.
2. In slow cooker, toss the bread cubes with salt, sage, poultry seasoning, thyme and pepper. Add celery mixture, apples and raisins.
3. Combine eggs and broth; add to bread mixture and toss. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hrs.
