1 c. rice (long grain & wild rice is nice)
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. slivered or sliced almonds
2 Tbsp. chives or green onions, chopped
3 c. chicken broth

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325°F. Melt butter in a skillet. Add rice, almonds and chives. Cook and stir about 20 minutes (this can be shortened).
2. Pour rice mixture into ungreased 1 1/2 quart casserole dish.
3. Heat chicken broth to boiling. Stir into rice mixture. Cover tightly.
4. Bake 1 1/2 hrs. or until all liquid is absorbed into rice.
