1 c flour
1 c sugar
3 tsp baking powder
1 c milk (heated just to below a boil)
2 egg whites
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

Sift together: sugar, flour,and baking powder
Heat milk to boiling point
And Add to dry ingredients

Fold in beaten egg whites
Add vanilla

Bake @ 350 in ungreased cake pan for 30 minutes40-45

This recipe was my grandmother Rankin's (MeMe). This is an easy cake to stir up quickly and is very much like an angel food cake, without a dozen eggs.
Memaw says she also made this cake and would ice it with butter frosting or cooked chocolate icing, however, it is great with berries and whipped cream. She said they made this for birthdays.
