4 c. water
2 T. chicken boullion granules
3 c. peeled potatoes, cubed
6 c. cabbage, cubed
1/2 c. diced carrots
1 c. chopped celery
1 beef bologna, 1/4 inch pieces
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. dill weed
1 c. butter
1 c. flour
2 c. milk
2 c. chicken broth
1/2 lb. American cheese, cubed
1/2 tsp. thyme
pepper to taste
additional milk

Directions:
Directions:
1. Put 4 c. water and bullion into kettle and bring to a boil
2. Add potatoes, onions and carrots
3. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 10 minutes
4. Add cabbage, celery, green peppers and bologna
5. Simmer 10 minutes uncovered or until vegetables are tender
6. Add salt and dill
7. In a saucepan, melt butter
8. Whisk in flour over medium heat until golden brown
9. Gradually add milk and broth, stirring until smooth
10. Add cheese, thyme and pepper
11. Cook on low heat until cheese is melted
12. Stir into hot vegetable mixture and simmer until serving
13. Thin with additional milk when reheating leftovers
