2 cups boiling water
2 cups cold water
1 ½ cups sugar
1 ½ cups oil
7 t salt
3 Tablespoons Yeast – dissolved in water and sugar
8 eggs
6 lbs flour

Directions:
Directions:
Combine the boiling water, sugar, oil and salt. In a separate bowl dissolve the yeast and beat in the eggs. Add the cold water to the sugar mixture and then add the egg mixture (if you add the egg mixture to the sugar mixture before adding the cold water the yeast will get burnt). Add in the flour and knead into a dough. Let it rise for an hour or so and then punch down and let rise again.
Place the Challah in a cold over
Bake at 375º for about 45 minutes
