1 1/2 cups soft butter
2 cups flour
1 cup icing sugar
1 cup corn starch
1/4 - 1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients until thoroughly mixed. Roll into balls using a teaspoon and place on an ungreased baking sheet. Squish down with a decorative press and add a piece of red and green cherry in the middle (for Christmas cookies), or add a touch of jam in a thumbprint or roll in crushed nuts.

Bake at 300ºF for 20 minutes.

Cool 5 - 10 minutes before removing onto cooling racks.
