1 cup butter,at room temperature (2 sticks)
3 cups sugar
6 large eggs, at room temperature
3 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
DO NOT PREHEAT OVEN. Grease bottom, sides and tube of a tube cake pan. Cream butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing each one well but don't overbeat. Set mixer on low speed and mix flour, cream alternating, beginning and end with flour. Add vanilla and stir well.
Pour the batter into prepared pan and place in cold oven.
Place oven on 325º and bake 1 hour 15 minutes. Test doneness by inserting a toothpick in center of cake, it should come out clean. Cool 30 minutes, then turn out onto rack to continue to cool.
