6 c. cake & pastry flour
1 tsp. salt
1 pound Crisco
3 eggs, lightly beaten
3 Tbsp. vinegar
6 Tbsp. cold water

6 c. sliced apples
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
1. Combine flour & salt in mixing bowl. Cut shortening into flour with pasty blender until it resembles large peas.
2. Beat eggs, water and vinegar together (should equal one cup). Pour all of the liquid evenly over flour mixture. Stir with fork until all of mixture is moistened.
3. Knead and form a ball. Roll out. Line pie plate.
4. Drizzle lemon juice over sliced apples.
5. Mix together sugar, flour and cinnamon. Add to apples and stir gently.
6. Pour into lined pie plate. Freeze pie or bake in oven that has been preheated to 400°F. Turn temperature down to 375°F as soon as pie is in the oven. Bake about 45 minutes, or until crust is golden brown.

Baking instructions from frozen - bake at 420°F for 15 mins. and 375°F for 35 to 45 mins.
