-1 red cabbage
-1/4 cup sugar
-salt and pepper to taste (1/2 tsp each to start)
-5 tbsp vinegar
-1 cup onion sliced
-2 tbsp butter
-apple slices (thin) to taste

Directions:
Directions:
-Saute the onion in the butter until thin and translucent
-Place all ingredients in a crock pot or pan and let cook slow/low for 1 hour

The apples are traditional, but Margaret doesn't particularly care for them. You can add a few and see for yourself what you like. Start with just a 1/4 apple.
