6 eggs
1 lb. English Walnuts (shelled) equals 2 to 2 1/2 c. walnuts
2 c. sugar
9 T. cracker crumbs
1 lb. pitted dates
2 t. baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Beat white and yolks separately. Fold baking powder into beaten whites. Chop coarsely dates and walnuts, do not grind. Roll cracker crumbs, do not use prepared crumbs as they are too fine. Mix these together with egg yolks that have been beaten with sugar. Mix thoroughly before folding in egg whites lightly. Pour into large flat, long, greased pan and bake at 300º for 45 minutes. Serves 10 with whipped cream.
