No white sugar
1/4 C dark Brown Sugar
1 tsp Cinnamon
1 C Pecans: roughly chopped
only 1/4 C Heavy Cream plus 1 tbsp
1/4 C Maple Syrup plus 1 tbsp

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare the basic scones with the following changes: Replace the white sugar with the brown sugar. Whisk cinnamon into the flour mixture. Cut in the butter then fold in the pecans. Whisk the maple syrup into the new amount of heavy cream and egg mixture. On a lightly floured surface shape the dough into an 8x4in rectangle Cut into eight 2 Inch rectangles and place on the prepared baking sheet. In a small bowl, whisk together 1 tbsp each of maple syrup and cream. Brush the mixture over the tops and bake until golden brown.
