1 AND1/2 POUND OF DRIED SAUSAGE (LIKE SOPPRASOTTA)
1 POUND FRESH DOMA CHEESE

DICE AND MIX ALL TOGETHER

CRUST

5 AND 1/2 CUPS FLOUR
3 EGGS, ONE AT A TIME
1 PACKAGE OF YEAST IN ONE CUP OF WARM WATER AND 1/2 TEASPOON OF SUGAR
PINCH OF SALT
1 AND 1/2 TABLESPOON OF MELTED AND THE COOLED SHORTENING(CRISCO)

MIX AND RAISE

FILL AND BAKE AT 375 DEGREES UNTIL IT IS HOLLOW

Mrs. DiChiara recipe, growing up on Coddington Ave. Mrs D. always had a caring and loving smile for me. I can remembe sitting at her kitchen table smiling and laughing.
She always made sure that I would get a piece of her Easter meat pie. When she passed, her daughter, who is my sister in law, Annette carries on her tradition. My daughter, Michelle and daughter in law Jesenia also follow the tradition. Jocelyn, my granddaughter loves getting her hands in it too.
