1/2 to 3/4 tsp. salt

Directions:
Wash beans and cut off ends. Cut into 1 inch diagonal pieces. Place in saucepan. Add all other ingredients. Cover and boil gently until beans are tender. Drain, remove bacon and onion, and serve.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
We would use much more bacon ( some already cooked and crumbled) and chop up the onion fine. We would leave the onion and bacon in with the green beans. Usually we would cook them until the liquid had evaporated off the beans. Adjust water amounts accordingly. You can always add more water while cooking if needed. ~Naomi Rampton
