1/2 medium head cabbage, shredded
1/2 C. chopped onion
1 large carrot, grated coarsely
3 sticks celery, diced
1/2 green pepper, diced
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. Italian seasoning

Oil and vinegar dressing:
1/2 C. vinegar
1/2 C. water
salt and pepper
Italian dressing
1 T. white corn syrup
Sugar or sweetener to taste

Mayonnaise dressing:
2 rounded T. mayonnaise
1 T. vinegar
1 tsp. milk
black pepper to taste
1 T. sugar (or sweetener = 1 T. sugar)
salt to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all slaw ingredients in large bowl. Add dressing of your choice:

To make oil and vinegar dressing, mix all ingredients in saucepan and bring to boil. Pour over cabbage mixture while hot. Stir well. Taste and season accordingly.

To make mayonnaise dressing, put all dressing ingredients into a jar, cover and shake well to mix. Add to cabbage. Chill slaw before serving.
