3 1/2 cup sugar
1/2 pint light corn syrup
1 pint water
1 tsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg white

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, corn syrup and water together and boil to a hard ball when dropped in cold water, and do not stir while boiling. Remove from burner, add butter, let cool 3 minutes and add vanilla. Beat whites of one egg to a stiff foam and then add the syrup very slowly. Beat constantly, and add 1 cup black walnut meats just before hardening. Turn into greased pan to cool.
