DOUGH:
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter
2 tsp. baking powder
1 cup sweet milk
enough flour to make stiff batter

DRESSING:
1 pint cherries
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 T butter
2 cups boiling water

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dough and put in a deep 9 or 10 inch pie pan. Pour dressing over dough and bake in medium oven at 375º for 45 to 60 minutes.
