2/3 c. butter, softened
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. almond extract
1 egg, beaten
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
Topping:
1 egg
1 Tbsp. milk
Sliced almonds

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat over to 350°F. In bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add almond extract; blend in egg.
2. Mix flour and baking powder; add to butter mixture. Stir dough with fork until smooth. Spread dough in greased 8" square pan.
3. Topping: In bowl, beat egg and milk; brush over dough. Top with almonds.
4. Bake for 30 min. or until golden brown.
