6 quarts popped corn (30 cups)
1 c. butter or margarine
2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. corn syrup
1 tsp. salt.
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. baking soda
Peanuts or mixed nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
1. Melt butter or margarine. Add brown sugar, syrup and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Boil without stirring for 5 mins.
2. Remove from heat and add soda and vanilla.
3. Pour over popcorn and mix well. Cook for 1 hour in a 250°F oven on two cookie sheets. Turn every 15 mins. Remove and cool completely. Break apart.
