1 Whole Orange (with peel, cut into 8 pieces)
1/2 c. Orange juice
1/2 c. Sugar
1/3 c. Veg. Oil
1 Egg
1/2 c. Chopped dates, raisins or nuts
1 1/2 c. Whole Wheat Flour
1tsp. Baking powder
1 tsp. Baking soda
1/2 tsp. Salt

Directions:
Directions:
In a blender or cuisinart, pulse and chop oranges. Add orange juice, sugar, oil, egg and dates. Pulse to blend again.

In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

Pour orange mixture over dry ingredients and stir slightly to blend. Fill muffin cups and bake at 400 for 15 minutes.

These are delicious, healthy muffins that my family loves. I use dates that come already chopped in the bag, and always double the recipe because they go quickly:)
