One good size bunch of fresh asparagus
4 T. Soy sauce
1 T. Sesame Oil
1 T. Sugar

Toasted sesame seeds (optional garnish)

Directions:
Directions:
Clean and trim asparagus
Blanch in boiling water for 2 minutes and put them in an ice bath to stop the cooking. Lay flat in a dish. Mix the soy sauce, sesame oil and sugar and pour over asparagus. Cool in refrigerator for several hours or overnight, turning several times.
Take out of marinate and sprinkle with sesame seeds, if desired. Serve cold.

This is an easy, delicious vegetarian appetizer. I mix the marinate in a large ziplock baggie and put the asparagus in there to marinate. Less dishes:) and easy to turn!
