Cake;
2 C flour
2 C sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 C buttermilk
1 tsp baking soda
2 sticks or 1 C butter/margarine
1/3 C Hershey cocoa powder
1 C water

Frosting;
3½ C powder sugar
1 stick or 1/2 C butter/margarine
1/4 C Hershey cocoa powder
7 Tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 C chopped nuts... optional

Directions:

Preheat oven 350° Line a 15x10 jelly roll pan with parchment paper and spray with nonstick spray (you could use a 9x13 pan, it may take a little longer to cook)

In a large mixing bowl combine flour, sugar, salt and cinnamon. Mix well with a wire whisk. Set aside. In a smaller bowl combine eggs, vanilla, buttermilk and baking soda. Mix well with wire whisk and set aside. In a saucepan on top to the stove melt butter, add cocoa and water. Bring to a boil. Remove from stove and pour into flour and mix until all flour is wet ... using a spoon. Add egg and milk mixture and continue mixing just until all ingredients are wet. pour into the pan and bake for 20-25 minutes ... testing for doneness at 20 minutes.

Frosting;
In a saucepan bring milk, butter and cocoa to a boil on top of the stove. Remove from heat and stir in sugar and vanilla until smooth then add nuts. Spread over cooled cake.
