1 lb Sugar
1 cup Water

Directions:
Directions:
Combine the sugar and water in a heavy saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil and cook, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is completely dissolved and the syrup is clear and slightly thickened, about 2 minutes. Cool completely and store in the refrigerator in a jar with tight-fitting lid. Makes about 2 1/2 cups. Will keep several months in the refrigerator. Great to use to make sweetened ice tea.
