1 1/2 c. shortening
2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. sugar
4 medium potatoes, peeled, boiled and mashed
6 eggs, beaten
2 c. milk
4 pkgs. yeast
2 c. warm potato water
8 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Peel cook and mash potatoes. Save potato water. Scald 2 cups milk nd let cool. Set aside. Mix together yeast and 2 cups warm water used to cook potatoes. Mix together all ingredients except flour. Add flour gradually until dough is stiff. Cover and let rise until double in size. Roll and cut in to what ever shape you want. Rise 1 hour. Fry in shortening - 350º. fry one side until golden brown then flip and fry other side. Roll in sugar.
