9" pastry shell
1 Tbsp. gelatin
1/4 cup cold water
1/2 cup sugar
4 Tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1½ cup milk
3/4 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. almond extract
1/2 cup whipping cream
3 egg whites
1/4 tsp. cream tarter
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup coconut, shredded
maraschino cherries

Bake pie curst as directed. Mix together gelatin and cold water and set aside. Mix together in sauce pan sugar, flour & salt, gradually stir in milk. Cook over low heat stirring until it boils. Boil 1 minute. Remove from heat, stir in softened gelatin. Cool. When partially set beat with beater until smooth. Blend in vanilla and almond extracts. Beat whipping cream until stiff. Gently fold into flour mixture. Beat together egg whites, cream of tarter and sugar until stiff like a meringue. Gently fold in to mixture fold in shredded coconut. Pour into prebaked crust. Chill for 2 hours at least (remove 20 minutes before serving) Decorate with Cherries 3ct (Christmas Colors)
