1/2 cup butter
1 quart half and half cream
2 (12 ounce) containers fresh oysters, undrained (Pacific oysters have the most flavor, but some feel they are too strong)
salt and pepper to taste (lots of fresh ground pepper)

Directions:
Directions:
Melt the putter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the oysters and let simmer until edges of the oysters begin to curl. Heat half and half in microwave to take the chill off, add to oysters. Heat without boiling until serving temperature . Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve with oyster crackers.
