"A man who was fond of wine was offered some grapes at dessert after dinner. "Much obliged," said he, pushing the plate aside; "I am not accustomed to take my wine in pills."--Jean Antheleme Brillat-Savarin, The Physiology of Taste

Kielbasa, (Hillshire or similar product) – 4 (or 1) Pounds

Directions:
The ingredients list amounts for a small one pound batch or a large four pound batch of Kielbasa. Amounts for the small batch are in parentheses.

Slice the kielbasa into thin slices. Put into a stockpot with water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for one and half-hours. Stir occasionally.

Drain and rinse the kielbasa in a colander. Use hot water to thoroughly rinse the kielbasa.

Pre-heat the oven to 375º.

Combine the brown sugar, ketchup, marmalade and orange juice in a casserole or baking dish. Carefully mix these ingredients together. Add the drained kielbasa and combine with the sauce.

Bake at 375º for 1½ hours. The sauce needs to caramelize. Stir occasionally. Serve hot. For the large batch, serving in a crock pot works very well.

A Polish friend gave Mik Ries this recipe. We serve it often at parties in the winter. It is a great football party recipe.
