1 cup sugar
1/2 cup margarine or Crisco
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3 TBS sour milk (buttermilk)
2 cups flour-If you use all purpose flour you should sift it. I use Wondra flour.
3 ripe mashed bananas.

Directions:

* Cream sugar & Crisco.

* Add eggs & mix.

* Add & mix: soda, salt and buttermilk.

* Stir in flour.

* When batter is well mixed add bananas

* Pour into greased & floured loaf pans.

* Bake @ 325ºF for 1 hour.

Paul & AnnaMae were active members at the Clinton American Legion. Every year they helped with the Easter Egg Hunt. One year it was rained out. We were all waiting on them to get to Grandma's for dinner. Our eyes got as big as silver dollars when they arrived with bag after bag of candy & prizes for the nieces & nephews .~Susan
