2 cups flour sifted
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp cream of tartar
1/2 tsp salt
2 T. Sugar
2/3 c milk
1 egg

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450. In a large bowl, sift together all dry ingredients. Cut in the shortening until the mixture is crumbly. Add milk, then egg. Blend well. Roll out the dough and cut, or drop by spoonfuls onto a baking sheet. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes. Very good with sausage gravy.
