1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2/3 cup butter (softened 30-45 seconds in the microwave)
2/3 cup shortening
2 eggs
2 teaspoons of vanilla
3 cups of flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Have two cookies sheets available
2. In a bowl or Kitchen Aid mixer add: 1 cup of sugar, 1 cup of brown sugar, 2/3 cup of butter (softened 30-45 seconds in the microwave), 2/3 cup of shortening, 2 eggs, and 2 teaspoons of vanilla. Mix these ingredients until creamy.
3. In a large bowl mix by hand: 3 cups of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 package of semi-sweet chocolate chips.
4. Add the creamed mixture to the flour mix and mix by hand spoon drop cookies onto one baking sheet Cook for 9 minutes While the first set is cooking add dough to the next sheet. When the timer goes off take the cookies out of the oven and place them on the stove to finish cooking for about 7 minutes and put the new set in. Once the cookies are ready to come off the cookie sheet place them on wax paper or paper towels. Alternate until all of your cookies are done Enjoy!!
