Sift together:
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. salt
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon

Add ½ cup milk (more if needed)
½ cup chopped suet
1 cup raisins

Directions:

Tie loosely in cloth bag. We use the corner of a pillow case
Don't tie tight which means don't tie close to the dough
Set in boiling water on rack.
Flip over after cooking a while.
Cook gently 3 hours. Keep lid on.

Serve with whiskey sauce

Whiskey Sauce

1 cup sugar
2 cups water
4 TBS. butter
¼ tsp. salt
1 tsp. nutmeg

Thicken with 3 TBS, cornstarch
Add whiskey to taste, don’t overdo
