3 Tbsp butter
3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 can sliced pineapple
maraschino cherries





1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp almond extract

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 365 degrees.
Preparation:
In a 9-inch square cake pan, melt 3 Tbsp butter; sprinkle with brown sugar. Arrange pineapple slices and cherries to desired design.
Cake Batter:
Cream 1/2 cup butter with sugar, beat until light and fluffy. Add egg and beat well. Add dry ingredients alternating with milk and flavorings. Beat until smooth. Pour over pineapple. Bake for about 30 minutes.
Let cake cool for about 5 minutes before flipping over onto serving plate. Serve warm.
