1 cup sugar
6 cups water
20 oz. white vinegar
8 cucumbers, sliced
1 large onion, sliced
2 tomatoes, cut in eighths
2 green peppers, sliced

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, water, and vinegar together until the sugar is dissolved.

Place vegetables into the liquid. Let them marinate for at least an hour in the refrigerator.

To serve, dip out desired amount of salad into a bowl. Replace vegetables as needed. Keep chilled. Add more or less of each depending on your whim. You also may need to add more liquid at some point.

This is a favorite summer salad for Roy. He makes it and keeps adding vegetables to the liquid for a few weeks until he is tired of it.

This salad got its name from the cafeteria in Miami where Roy and his family went occasionally. A serving cost 25 cents at the time so they called it "25 Cent Salad".
