3/4 cup sugar
1 unbeaten egg
1/2 cup milk
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 cup shortening
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup flour
1/4 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream sugar and shortening.
2. Add egg, beat.
3. Add vanilla and milk.
4. Add dry ingredients and beat in.
5. Bake 375º for 20-25 minutes.
6. Spread with 1 tbsp butter over the top of warm cake. Sift 3 tbsp powdered sugar and 1 tbsp cinnamon over top.
