2 TBSP Margarine (or butter) softened
1 1/2 cups chopped/peeled apples
10 oz can refrigerated biscuits
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/3 cup light corn syrup
1 1/2 tsp whiskey (optional)
1 egg
1/2 cup pecan halves or pieces

1. Heat oven to 350
Generously grease bottom and sides of 9 inch round or 8 inch square with 1 tbsp of margarine
Spread one cup of apples in the pan
2. Separate biscuits. Cut each biscuit into 4 pieces. Arrange pieces point-side up over apples. Top with remaining apples. Combine remaining 1 tbsp margarine, brown sugar, cinnamon, corn syrup, whiskey and egg. Beat 2-3 minutes until sugar is partially dissolved. Stir in pecans and spoon over biscuits.
3. Bake at 350 for 35-45 minutes or until deep brown. Cool 5 minutes. Blend glaze ingredients in a small bowl until smooth and drizzle over warm coffee cake.
4. Glaze: 1/3 cup confectioner sugar, 1/4 tsp. vanilla, 1 or 2 tsp milk
