3 c flour
1 T baking powder
1 1/2 c raisins
1 3/4 c buttermilk
2/3 c sugar
1 t each baking soda and salt
2 eggs well-beaten
2 T melted butter

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350. Sift dry ingredients. Add remaining ingredients and mix only until dry ingredients are moistened. Turn onto floured board. Knead. Dough should be sticky. Shape into a pound loaf. Put onto a greased cookie sheet. Cut X on top. Bake until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. About 1 hour. Less for a moister cake.
