1 1/4 cups sugar
1 cube softened butter
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2 eggs
1 1/8 oz. anise seed
1 1/2 T. anisette
2 T. bourbon
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
10 oz. chopped almonds

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together sugar and softened butte.r
Add baking powder, flour, eggs (one at a time), anise seed, anisette, bourbon, vanilla and chopped almonds.
Mold into shape.
Bake for 20 minutes at 350.
Cool enough to cut into individual pieces on an angle.
Turn cut pieces on their side.
Bake again at 300 for 15 minutes.
