1/2 lb. bacon, cut in small pieces (1/4")
1 large diced onion
Fry above together.
Then add and simmer together:
1 small bottle ketchup
2/3 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. garlic salt (optional)
1 can kidney beans, rinsed
1 can n beans, rinsed
1 can lima or butter beans, drained
1 large can baked beans - as is

Directions:

Fry bacon and onion together.
Add ketchup, brown sugar, and garlic salt. Simmer together.

Add beans to sauce and bake at 325 º for 1 hour.

Dave likes this recipe with only the baked beans. Shirley used to always add the butter beans because Dad liked them. I also love them, but they weren't added when Dad was not attending the picnic.
