1 cup quick-cook oats
1 1/4 cup boiling water
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 cup sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
Directions:
Directions:
Pour boiling water over oats and let stand for 20 minutes. Cream sugar and shortening; add eggs and beat well. Stir in sifted dry ingredients alternately with oats. Bake 30-35 minutes at 350º.
