½ cup crisco shortening
2/3 cup sugar
3 eggs
2 cup flour
1 tsp. baking powder
Pinch salt
1 ½ tsp anise extract
1 TBSP anise seeds

Cream crisco and sugar
Add eggs, 1 at a time, and flavoring
Add dry ingredients
Couple squirts of liquid sweetner, opt.
If to sticky add a little more flour, not to much or it will be too dry
Cook In Pizzelle Iron
