3 cups bottled fruit, pureed (peaches work well)
2-1/2 cup hot water
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 Tbs salt
6 cups whole wheat flour, unsifted
2 pkgs dry yeast
1/2 cup warm water
6 cups white flour

Directions:
In a large bowl combine pureed fruit, hot water, brown sugar, oil and salt. Mix in whole wheat flour. Mix well. Let sit 20 min. Soften yeast in warm water for 10 minutes. Blend into whole wheat mixture. Stir in white flour as needed to make moderately stiff dough. Knead 10 min. Shape into four loaves. Place in loaf pans. Cover and let rise until almost double in bulk. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-45 min. Brush with butter. Yield: 4 loaves

This is a really good wheat bread. The pureed fruit makes it soft and moist with no hint that there is any fruit in it.
